GOTHAM GRAZER SUSTAINABLE FOOD TOOLKIT

This toolkit gives a detailed overview of the history of agriculture, organic and sustainable farming practices, plant-based diets, and buying locally and seasonally. The toolkit provides a number of thought questions and group activities within each section, as well as resources for creating food maps and real-life community projects.

GOTHAM GRAZER SUSTAINABLE FOOD NEGOTIATION SIMULATION

This toolkit entails people taking on the roles of different stakeholders in a hypothetical situation by which members of the Hunts Point community in the Bronx try to tackle the issue of access to sustainable and healthy food. Stakeholders negotiate together to find solutions to the problem given various constraints and goals that each stakeholder brings to the table. It's a really fun way to learn about sustainable and healthy food issues facing certain communities in New York City while also building communication skills and experiencing what it might be like to grapple with these issues in a real world context. The toolkit is free for schools and community organizations and can also be a fun employee engagement exercise for offices to undertake. Get in touch with us at info@earthdayny.org for details.
