Volunteering

VOLUNTEERING

Volunteering is a fantastic way to connect with your community and learn about the great things happening right around the corner.  Earth Day Initiative regularly coordinates events to engage with and support the wide range of environmental organizations doing important work in their communities.  We work with community groups and corporate partners' employee engagement programs to bring people in direct contact with green sites and substantive sustainability projects.  Recent volunteer projects have included work with a rooftop farm in Midtown Manhattan, a river clean-up site, and classroom gardens in local schools.

If you're not able to get out of the office, we are also able to bring sustainability directly into the workplace.  We can coordinate guest lectures and interactive workshops on topics like green buildings, sustainable food, greening your lifestyle, and other topics.
